Meet Bryant Hennessy

Our Journey

Monday, April 21, 2014, started as a normal day and quickly changed into a day that the Hennessy family will never forget.

Bryant, age 3, had some bruises that Carolyn & Jeff (Mom & Dad) thought were kind of funny-looking, and after talking in the morning, they decided they needed to go to the pediatrician. The pediatrician looked at his blood work and recommended they quickly go over to VCU Health Center.

After further tests there, the family was told the heartbreaking news that Bryant has Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Our Little Guy

Bryant is the typical 3-year-old, who loves to say “NO.” He is a very independent guy, who wants to make all the decisions. (Getting dressed in the morning is a process.)

Like most boys, he likes superheroes, trucks, and Mickey Mouse, but he’s not afraid to run around with a princess or Barbie. He does what makes him happy and could care less what anyone thinks. We can all learn a thing or two from this brave little guy.
